News

  • Landscape Auction named on of 24 Semi-Finalist in national competition "Strong communities: Engaging Citizens, Strengthening Place, Inspiring Change."

  • 150 people attended - individuals came from Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts

  • 31 items sold - largest item sold was conserving a public access area on the White River in Royalton; sold for $ 7,200; donations from Vermont Law School staff & faculty, White River Partnership individual & business members, and individual event attendees

  • $ 20,000 raised - donations from $ 25 to $ 3,500

  • Highlights - meeting participating landowners, hayrides to VTC farm centers, live radio broadcast from Oldies 104.3FM, local food tasting including Cabot cheese, Hurricane Flats popcorn, Champlain Orchard apple cider and Green Mountain Coffee.

  • Event sponsors - Vermont Technical College, Orvis, Oldies 104.3FM, Rusty DeWees, South Royalton Market.

  • The White River Partnership has been interviewed by CBS New York on the Landscape Auction for Vermont's Working Landscape. (Media will become available shortly)
