From Betuweroute to Veluweroute

Tom Bade’s first book from 2005, developed in collaboration with the Ark Foundation. In this book the construction of the Veluweroute is advocated, the profitable counterpart of the Betuweroute, the railway that should never have been built. The Veluweroute connects the Oostvaardersplassen with the nature reserves in North Limburg (Maasduinen), after which ecological traffic can continue to Germany. A beautiful poster of the Veluweroute was made by Jeroen Helmer, which is also included in the book. Unfortunately, the Veluweroute was never built. Had that happened, it would have saved a lot of trouble around the Oostvaardersplassen file. Positive reformulated: the book is still current.
