The organization has also focused on putting this knowledge into practice, which has led to various acquisitions of ailing and bankrupt social organizations. After a restart in 2014, the organization consists of the following business units:
Centre of Expertise Nature and Economy. Here, research is conducted into the benefits of nature and landscape, revenue models are developed for social organizations that see their old sources of income drying up and for governments that are seeking savings, and new concepts are developed. The substantive themes that are being worked on are: financing of nature and landscape, closing complex social deals, iconic nature conservation, fluvial mining, 3D land consolidation. Recently, the theme circular greenhouse horticulture has been added based on an assignment for LTO Glaskracht Netherlands.
Natural Soil Improvement. Within this business unit research is carried out into Brickz, a product consisting of dried river sediment and other residual flows combined with mycorrhiza, seeds and other life. The organization has obtained a patent for this. Natural Soil Improvement has its own production and research location in Huissen, where Brickz are produced on a small scale. This involves collaboration with organizations such as Rijkswaterstaat, Micosat, K3 Delta, Deltares, WUR, HZ University of Applied Sciences, Wing Consultancy, Shield Group Argex and the Flemish Government.
Institute for Applied Economic Argumentation. This business unit focuses on the publication of books and the magazine ‘Green Heroes’ (Groene Helden). This unit also includes the landscape auctions that Triple E organizes for Geldersch Landschap and Kasteelen and the Veluwefonds, among others.
