In Sounding Coin
After Tom Bade wrote The Great Rights Book of the Fatherland Nature Conservation, the Ministry of LNV was interested in the concept of rights as a basis for financing nature development and management. This as an opportunity to tap into new money flows, as well as to have possible alternatives to traditional subsidies. This has led to the In Sounding Coin study, in which financial arrangements based on rights for the Western Peat Meadow Area have been elaborated. New arrangements have been developed for both the short and the long term, such as landscape petrol: a concept that was once also developed for the State Forestry (Staatsbosbeheer) and has now come onto the market as an arrangement to compensate for forest.
