The Energy Landscape
Beautiful book with photos by Ruud Lardinois and a foreword by the minister at that time, Jacqueline Cramer. Herein, Tom Bade already warned in 2009 about the major spatial problems that the sustainable forms of energy production (wind, sun) will ask if no well-thought-out spatial policy is developed for them. After all, a coal-fired power station hardly requires any space, but windmills and solar fields do. The energy landscape of the future therefore requires vision, creativity and smart concepts. They did not get there, because the government no longer has a vision and the spatial problems will therefore certainly make sustainability more difficult. The book is still very relevant to read against this background.
